The Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union Leipzig (NABU), the Nature Conservation Institute Leipzig and the Eco–station Borna–Birkenhain jointly offer various insights into the world of the small fluttering animals. At the end of the evening we invite you to a faunistic exploration of the southern cemetery while equipped with bat detectors.

Guided tour (in German): Graves, tombs and history

The Alter Johannisfriedhof of Leipzig is both a cemetery to stroll through and a park full of gravestones. Many famous personalities are associated with it. The guided tour follows in the footsteps of Johann Sebastian Bach, Richard Wagner's parents, Goethe's lover and the founder of the allotment garden movement.

Concert: Camerata Mediolanense

Camerata Mediolanense is a neoclassical music ensemble from Italy, founded by Elena Previdi, harpsichordist, composer and musicologist from Milan. At this year’s WGT, the band will be celebrating its 30th anniversary and presenting its sixth album: “Atalanta Fugiens”.

The concert will be a journey through time and the Camerata's six albums, with a focus on ethereal sounds and the use of acoustic instruments such as the harpsichord, accordion and various types of frame drums.

Expect a WGT special with organ versions of music by Depeche Mode, New Order, Game of Thrones, Metallica, And One, Billie Eilish, Bach, Pet Shop Boys and more.
