Nazar Totovytskyi – Violin / İrmak Ülke – Violin / Anna Pelczer – Viola / Cicely Parnas – Cello

The quartet Klassik Allgemeinde breaks through the traditional presentation of classical music with an atmospheric transformation into a performance. The programme ‘A Gothic Hour of Clas-sical Song’ is inspired by Nordic lights.

Azabache Tango
Katharina Deissler – Violin / Adriana Miranda – Violin / Esteban Fioroni – Viola / Bruno Bragato – Cello

Azabache Tango emerged from the current tango scene in Buenos Aires and offers a new and sur-prising interpretation of Argentinian popular music in the format of a classical string quartet. Since 2017, they have been performing in Buenos Aires with a repertoire consisting exclusively of contemporary works, mostly their own compositions. The musicians' artistic search follows the tonal effects of the instrument family and always attempts to subvert the expectations of the or-chestration in a playful way.

19.30

“Von blutig bis romantisch – Wie Wang-Fu errettet wurde”
(From bloody to romantic - How Wang-Fu was rescued)

Sabine Schramm - narrator / Samuel Waffler - piano

Musical reading with texts (in German) from ‘Nouvelles Orientales’ by Marguerite Yourcenar and music by Leoš Janaček and Robert Schumann. Secretly, quietly and silently, actress Sabine Schramm and pianist Samuel Waffler conjure up the incredible story of the painter Wang-Fu from medieval China with music by Leoš Janaček and Robert Schumann.
Travel with us to an eerily beautiful distant world. The magic of fantasy inspires art. The music. The word. A story comes to life.
