The Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2013 will be from

20th May 2013 in Leipzig/Germany.
Below you can find important information about the WGT 2013. We are happy to welcome more guests from all over the world this year, i.e. from South Africa, Australia, Mexico, Russia and Japan. 1. Camping area
Arrival by car:
The camping area resides right at the the agra-Messepark in Leipzig Markkleeberg (in the south of Leipzig, Bornaische Straße 210) near to the main street B2.
(Please note the information regarding the alternative route to Markkleeberg due to the closure of the Bornaische Strasse!)
Arrival by train:
From the main train station you can take tram No. 11 direction to "Markkleeberg Ost"; The name of the stop is "Dölitz, Strassenbahnhof".

The Camping area is open not-stop from Thursday, 2013-05-16, 15.00h until 2013-05-21 12.00h.
Therefore you may also arrive at night time.
2. Box office
As before you can't buy daily- or single-event-tickets. We only sell 4-day Treffen tickets and Obsorge-tickets (camping tickets) at the following places and times:

3. Wristbands
Every visitor receives a wristband during the devaluation of his/her ticket. With this wristband you will have access to every location and concert/event. The exchange of tickets for wristbands will be possible at the following places and times:
-only for owners of a 4-day ticket WITH Obsorge ticket
Like in the years before, owners of a 4-day ticket with an Obsorge-ticket, can get their wristband directly at the camping area of the agra Messepark so you can easily build up your tent before you get your wristband. For this, we provide three stations at the camping area.

4. Public Transports
Owners of a 4-day ticket (Treffen event ticket) can use all trams and buses of the Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB) in Leipzig for free (within the zone 110 of the MDV) from Friday, 17th May, 08.00h until Tuesday, 21st May, 12.00h except special routes (e.g. guided city tours).
5. Treffen-Kindergarten
From Friday, 17th May until Monday, 20th May (open from 15.00h to 22.00h each day), trained and experienced kindergarten teachers will look after your children (3 years old or older) with a balanced and varied program to meet their needs. Here the children can play with playmates of the same age, craft and paint - their perfect place of retreat at the WGT.
The nursery has its own area near the agra-Hall 2, which is independent of the weather. The service time is limited to a maximum of 3 hours per day. Refreshment with drinks will be provided. The supply of food can not be provided by the nursery, sanitary facilities are of course available.
6. Exact schedule / programme
The exact schedule / timetable is published on the website of the Wave-Gotik-Treffen under „Program” soon. Due to the size of the event, changes in time and running order are still possible.

7. Program book
The program book („Pfingstbote”) will be available to buy at the box offices again this year. It will contain very detailed information about all the events during the WGT.

Important announcement regarding arrival to Leipzig / Markkleeberg by car
Since January 9th 2012 the bridge on the Bornaische Strasse (between Prinz-Eugen-Strasse and Lichtenstrasse) is completely closed for car traffic until June 2014 due to construction works.
Car drivers should use one of the following alternative routes:
1) from Connewitzer Kreuz: via Wolfgang Heinze Str. - Koburger Brücke - B2 - Goethesteig - Bornaische Str.
2) from Connewitzer Kreuz: Arno Nitzsche Str. - Zwickauer Str. - Dankwartstr. - Dürrstr. - Siegfriedstr. - Bornaische Str.

The tram (line 11) will operate normally.
Important announcement regarding the "low emission zone" in Leipzig
Since the 1st of March 2011 about 60 percent of the urban area of Leipzig has been declared
a "low emission zone" to protect the environment from air pollution.
Therefore within this zone only vehicles which have an official green sticker placed
on the front windscreen are allowed. To obtain such a sticker, the vehicle must meet certain standards
(i.e. age, type of fuel, diesel particulate filter etc.). This regulation is also valid for
foreigners who travel to Leipzig by car.
If you cannot show a valid sticker during a traffic check, you will have to pay a fine of 40,- Euros.
The stickers are available for about 5,- Euros at most car repair shops in Germany or via
internet, e.g. the website of TÃœV-Nord (6,- Euros):

ATTENTION: The agra-area with parking lot and camping site can be reached via A38 / B2
without having to enter the "low emission zone"! (Please see the map of the zone below)
That means it is possible for visitors to park their vehicle at the agra-parking lot
(you will need a WGT parking ticket in this case, which can also be obtained on location) and
reach all other locations by public transport.
